Korean-Australian rap phenomenon 1300 are kicking off their 2023 linking with Kwame for their latest single Steve Jobs. The track lands with a music video which sees the group re-link with their J Award winning collaborator and director Raghav Rampal.

The track is inspired by turn of the millenium design and inner-city living with a distinct UKG feel. It sees the group enhance their addictive and hyperactive energy that is associated with 1300, while teasing at a new sonic direction.

On collaborating with Kwame the group explained, "We had a great energy in the studio together. We were all very excited to be there and kind of just fed off each other’s high energy. It has a quirkiness - almost like a video game.”

Lyrically the tracks reacts to the virtualisation of the world and the way in which in humanity evolves because of it. Visually this is also reflected, arriving in the style of a Michael Mann film with clear inspiration from cult classic films including The Matrix and InceptionSonically the track perfectly taps into this feeling, using the familiarity of a classic two step beat and moulding it with frantic futuristic energetic elements. It's familiar yet unsettling and extremely exciting.

1300 capped their breakout 2022 with a string of accolades following the release of their debut mixtape Foreign Language. The acclaim included winning the triple j and Rage Australian Music Video of the Year J Award, achieving FBi Radio SMAC Award ominations for Album Of The Year and Best Video as well as performing standout sets at Spilt Milk, Falls Festival, Lost Paradise and more.
