What we do
Operating on a global basis with offices and teams around the world, [PIAS] champions and supports the best independent music in the world across our unrivalled international network. Established in 1982, we operate 16 global offices – all leveraging local relationships to influence local gatekeepers.
As a member of the [PIAS] group of companies, the Australian office comprises [PIAS] Australia (the Label Group division) and Inertia Music (the distribution and services division).
[PIAS] Australia, our Label Group division, looks after artists such as HighSchool, Floodlights, as well as our suite of labels including Play It Again Sam (total tommy, Lykke Li), Astral People Recordings (Bumpy, Skeleten), Lower Third (Two Door Cinema Club, Circa Waves), Mute (HAAi) and much more.

What you’ll be doing
The Promotions Manager will be responsible for leading press, radio and media campaigns for assigned artists and labels.
Key Responsibilities & Relationships
● Create and execute publicity campaigns for [PIAS] and Inertia Music artists and releases
● Servicing releases to radio, press, TV, podcasts, social media tastemakers and other media forms
● Contribute to and work with members of the broader label team to develop a strategy for key priority releases.
● Secure features, interviews, reviews, live performances, shoots and other compelling media coverage for Inertia’s artists and releases.
● Write and distribute timely press releases.
● Manage promotional schedules, including on-ground schedules for touring artists.
● Attend internal and external meetings as required, and adhere to [PIAS]’s Company Policies.
● Conduct Business on Inertia’s behalf in a professional, ethical and honest manner at all times.
● Represent [PIAS], Inertia & its artist roster in a professional manner at all times.
Essential Skills & Attributes
● Possess a passion for independent music and a sound understanding of [PIAS]/Inertia’s suite of labels and artists.
● Previous publicity and public relations, creative writing and/or music industry experience is highly desirable.
