Sunshine Coast Music Awards 2026 Finalists Revealed

Finalists for this year’s awards span eleven categories, including prestigious selections such as Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Rising Star, and more.

This year’s Sunshine Coast Music Awards are fast approaching, and ahead of next month’s ceremony, the Sunshine Coast Music Industry Collective (SCMIC) has revealed the impressive list of finalists.

Finalists for this year’s awards span eleven categories, including prestigious selections such as Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Live Act of the Year, Artwork of the Year, Rising Star, and more. In terms of the music industry, the awards also honour Recording Studio of the Year, Venue of the Year, and Punter of the Year.

Katie Noonan leads this year’s finalists list with three nominations to her name. Other finalists include Linc Phelps, Marshall Hamburger, Tom Does Stuff Studios, Che Burns, King’s Beach Tavern, and Frank & Louis. You can see the full list of finalists below.

This year’s winners will be announced at the 2026 Sunshine Coast Music Awards ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, 7 June, at The Shed in Palmview. Tickets to attend this year’s event are available via Moshtix.

The finalists were selected by a panel of music industry veterans from across the country, including Oztix’s Head of Music, Brad Hinds, Moshtix Managing Director Harley Evans, Airlock Studios Head Engineer/Manager James See, G.Y.R.O. A&R Jordan Acker, Magoo, and others, as well as representatives from triple j and the Woodford Music Festival.

SCMIC Chair Melissa O’Bryan said of this year’s diverse range of finalists, “Our second year of celebrating, and we are thrilled with how it’s all shaping up.

“The diversity of genres this year is exceptional, and with increased nominations in categories such as the Punter of the Year and Artwork of the Year, it is telling that these awards are shaping up to be one of the more eclectic programs out there.”
