Spotify recently wrapped up its 2025 fan events, which coincided with its Turn Up Aus campaign, and they turned out to be highly successful, drawing fans to their favourite artists and building communities.
Across four months, the streaming giant hosted three intimate concerts for three of Australia’s most beloved artists: Spacey Jane, ONEFOUR, and Alison Wonderland.
More than 1,200 punters attended the events as Spotify led a campaign to support Australian music through marketing, programming, and platform initiatives.
The fun began in May, when Spacey Jane kicked off the series at Sydney’s Events by Alpha.
The intimate showcase involved a nostalgic visual gallery experience built from the band’s archives, which included never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage. Fans attended through a ballot-only ticketing system, making for an exclusive, must-attend event.
A month later, ONEFOUR had the spotlight and launched their new album, If That Makes Sense, at a secret venue in their home of Western Sydney.

In addition to the drill group’s performance, fans were treated to an atmosphere that included a roaming marching band playing tracks from the new album, guest DJs, a basketball court, a barber shop, and a Spotify graffiti wall.
The events concluded on 21 August with an immersive experience curated by Aussie DJ Alison Wonderland.
Presenting an underground rave at Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station, GHOST WORLD was the ultimate secret city performance. Alison Wonderland combined rave culture with visuals from her forthcoming album, also titled GHOST WORLD.
The performance arrived as Alison Wonderland continues to grow her listenership on Spotify by an average of 11% per month—a stat she has maintained for the last 13 years.
Spotify Head of Marketing, Rosie Rothery, said of the successful fan events: “Turn Up Aus is about spotlighting the strength of Australian music, while giving top fans a rare and personal experience with the artists they love. It is part of our platform-wide commitment to Australian music, with investment across playlists, marketing, and these unique fan events.
“From Spacey Jane's intimate in-the-round performance, to ONEFOUR’s exclusive album launch event in Western Sydney, through to Alison Wonderland’s immersive GHOST WORLD underground rave, these events highlight how Spotify is supporting local artists both on and off platform.”
In addition to the fan events, the Turn Up Aus campaign has included a new editorial hub and industry education initiatives designed to help professionals better understand data and support the next generation of artists and industry leaders entering the field.
