After making waves on Australian Idol last year, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Ivana Ilic, who performs as IVANA, has signed to the German dance label, Place Called Home.
Her signing comes after she released a trio of successful singles: Ooh La La La, Beating Heart, and Liar Liar. The first two singles received strong radio support and amassed 200,000 streams each, while Liar Liar became her most successful single to date, receiving over 1.5 million streams.
Coinciding with her signing to Place Called Home, IVANA has dropped another single, Burning. Ready to take over, the young artist is set to release more music in 2025 and solidify herself as one of Australia’s most exciting new talents.

IVANA will celebrate the release of Burning and her joining Place Called Home with two exclusive single launch shows in Melbourne and Sydney. The shows will take place at Melbourne’s Yah Yah’s on Friday, 27 June, and Sydney’s Beresford Sundays on Saturday, 28 June. You can find tickets to the shows here.
At Place Called Home, IVANA joins a roster of artists that includes Lucas Estrada, CARSTN, MANUAL, Treetalk, FDVM, and others.
Place Called Home was established in 2012, although it was quite different from the operation it is now. It previously engaged in structures in event management, booking, and product marketing and has since evolved to include music management, publishing, and label operations.
Place Called Home officially became a music management company in 2018. Located in Berlin, it expanded to include label operations in 2020.
Since making the Top Five on Australian Idol last year, IVANA has steadily released new music and kept the spotlight on her artistry. Commenting on the surprise grit in her voice during her audition, The Music’s Bryget Chrisfield wrote, “An unexpected grittiness occasionally intersects her rich, velvety vocal textures.”
