Live Nation has announced its plans to further boost its partnership with Support Act ahead of its upcoming Australian shows.

From today, punters who purchase tickets to any Live Nation show in Australia can make a voluntary donation to Support Act at the checkout. The tour promoters will run the ticket upsell initiative throughout the rest of the month until the end of November, to sponsor AusMusic Month and Support Act’s annual AusMusic T-Shirt Day initiative.

Upcoming events brought to Australia by Live Nation for the rest of the year include tours by the likes of Metallica, Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM Ball Tour, Oasis, Jelly Roll, TWICE, Kendrick Lamar, and Pixies.

As part of its partnership with Support Act, Live Nation will contribute to the celebrations, with staff set to represent their favourite Australian artists on AusMusic T-Shirt Day on Thursday, 27 November.

Live Nation’s ticket upsell initiative will be activated throughout its events from October to December, including the Sydney Opera House’s On The Steps concert series. In addition to tickets to the shows, official On The Steps merchandise will be available, with all proceeds from sales going to Support Act.

The series runs for two weeks, beginning in early December and featuring:

Commenting on Live Nation’s new initiative, Miller added, “We are grateful to Live Nation for providing this opportunity for music lovers to make a difference. Every donation will help us to support the amazing people behind the music when life throws them a curveball.”

Alex Klos, President of Live Nation Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand, explained: “November is all about celebrating Australian music, and we’re proud to expand our partnership with Support Act during AusMusic Month. Every ticket sold represents not just a great night out, but an opportunity to give back to the people who make the magic of live music possible.”
