Over 50 Australian artists have joined forces to perform at Our House, a string of free, intimate community events that will bring live music and big ideas together ahead of this year’s federal election.

The event series will take place on Saturday, 26 April, from 11 am. Spearheaded by Holly Rankin—who you know better as recording artist Jack River—and her events company, Hopeless Utopian, the upcoming grassroots gatherings will unite artists, community leaders, and voters.

At Our House, the aim is for groups of people to spark conversation and connection before the federal election next month.

As a press release notes, this election is a significant one, as it marks the first time that Gen Z and Millennials outnumber Baby Boomers in the votes. So, Our House has been designed to engage young voters as they make decisions for their future.

Rankin wrote on Instagram today, “I’ve organised these events with my team to bring us all together in a time of division - and to remember that it’s us who decides the future of the nation.”

Aussie artists will perform acoustically in eight locations across the country on the big day, including Jack River, The Buoys, Annie Hamilton, Phil Jamieson, South Summit, Beddy Rays, Floodlights, The Tullamarines, Bakers Eddy, San Cisco’s Jordi Davieson, Slowly Slowly’s Benjamin Stewart, Great Gable, and stacks more.
