Dion Brant, the CEO of Frontier Touring, has expanded his role to include President and CEO of AEG Presents Asia Pacific, effective immediately.

Brant is based in Melbourne and will continue in his roles as CEO and a member of the company’s Board of Directors at Frontier Touring. Brant’s new appointment will see him report to Adam Wilkes, President and CEO of AEG Presents Europe and Asia Pacific.

According to a press release, Brant will spearhead AEG Presents’ continued growth and development in Asia, as well as strengthen the company’s position within the wider Asia Pacific region.

After getting his start in marketing and programming in commercial radio, Brant held executive roles at Ticketek. In 2013, he began as the head of strategy and development at Mushroom Group before moving to Frontier Touring full-time the following year.

Brant worked closely with the late, great Michael Gudinski and was a key negotiator in the 2019 joint partnership between Frontier Touring and AEG Presents. Following Gudinski’s passing in 2021, Brant was named CEO, and AEG Presents took a controlling interest in the touring company.

Welcoming Brant to his new role, Adam Wilkes said, “Dion is a highly respected executive who has played an integral role in our success. His leadership at Frontier has been transformational, proving he’s a steady hand capable of guiding our business into the future. I couldn’t be happier to name Dion to this position.”

Brant added, “I’ve worked closely with Adam for over a decade and have first-hand knowledge of the exceptional team he has built in AEG Presents’ Asia Pacific operations. And of course, our incredibly talented group at Frontier gives me the ability to split my time and take on this extra responsibility with the confidence that we’ll continue to lead the Australia and New Zealand markets.

“I look forward to getting involved and helping to maintain positive momentum from what has been a successful period under Adam’s leadership. This further opens opportunities for us to bring the Frontier Touring and Asia Pacific businesses closer together, sharing insights, building capabilities, and enhancing our offering for artists across the region.”

In May, it was announced that Andrew Spencer, CCO at Frontier Touring, would relocate to London after being appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AEG Presents Europe. With AEG Presents, a partner of Frontier Touring, he’ll take over the company’s operational coordination across Europe.
