Support Act have announced this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, once again raising funds for music workers in crisis by shining the spotlight on Australia’s incredible wealth of musical talent.

The annual celebration will take place this year on Thursday November 30. It’ll be supported by ARIA, triple j, Heaps Normal, Gildan Brands and AAMI, who have pledged up to $40,000 in matched donations. As usual, all money raised from Ausmusic T-Shirt Day will go to Support Act, helping fund their efforts to support musicians, managers, crew and music workers through crisis relief support, mental health and wellbeing programs, a bespoke hotline, and dedicated support for First Nations peoples.

To support Ausmusic T-Shirt Day in 2023, you can purchase one of the official shirts being sold here, make a general donation here, or fundraise in a team (which you can learn to do here). The exclusive range of premium shirts includes unique designs from a suite of iconic Aussie artists, such as John Farnham, Cold Chisel, Kate Ceberano, Kylie Minogue, Nick Cave, Paul Kelly and Archie Roach – plus more contemporary names like King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Ashwarya, Budjerah, Gang Of Youths and G Flip.

100 percent of all net profits earned from these will be donated to Support Act, with sales open now and running until Friday October 27. Additionally, this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day merch partners – all of whom will donate a percentage of profits earned from shirt sales to this year’s campaign – include Artist First, Bad Apples, Black Rebel Heart, Clothing The Gaps, Love Police, Sound Merch, Sound Of Vinyl, Warner Music and many more. See here for the full list.

In a press statement, Support Act CEO Clive Miller said of this year’s initiative: “In music, every little bit matters, so this Ausmusic T-Shirt Day on Thursday November 30, we ask anyone who loves Aussie music to show their act of support by buying an Ausmusic t-shirt or making a donation so that we can continue our crucial work.

“The music we love doesn’t sound the same without the people behind the scenes, so head to ausmusictshirtday.org.au now to find out how you can get involved and support Aussie music workers in need. Keep your eyes peeled for our incredible ambassador announcement coming soon!”
