It’s an exciting time for performers across Australia, as artist applications for this year’s BIGSOUND have just opened.
The BIGSOUND team is seeking “export-ready artists” as the music industry showcase celebrates its 25th anniversary this September.
Before submitting your application, you’ll need some information ready: artist/band member details, social media profiles, career achievements so far, streaming stats, ticketing numbers, a short bio, two songs that represent your music, a high-quality image, and a video.
Then, BIGSOUND programmers will want to chat about what you’re looking for from performing at the event, information about your dream team, and what your future goals look like.
Applications are open as of today until Wednesday, 1 April, at 11:59 pm AEST—there will be no extensions. Artists are advised to apply early.
You can submit your application here.
Labels, promoters and managers, media, festival bookers and venue operators will head to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley to be a part of BIGSOUND this September for another week of music and madness.

Recognised as Australia’s music industry Christmas, BIGSOUND brings artists from the antipodean region together with big-time global music industry figures. Artists perform on stage to members of the music industry, as well as the public.
Artists can be established, emerging, or unsigned and be a part of BIGSOUND. If selected, performers will play before a crowd of national and international industry guests, including delegates from global export events, such as The Great Escape and Reeperbahn Festival.
With a strong track record of platforming artists who have since experienced massive career milestones, such as Flume, Gang of Youths, Confidence Man, Thelma Plum, Lime Cordiale, G Flip, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and others, BIGSOUND programmers are looking to continue this trend by securing export-ready, market-ready acts at this year’s event.
In addition to performing in front of industry tastemakers, selected artists will experience all that BIGSOUND has to offer, including after-parties, the Artist Hub, and networking opportunities.
At the 2025 showcase, BIGSOUND welcomed 4,200 festivalgoers—including 1,700 official delegates—who participated in over 500 free events. The industry conference hosted 138 speakers, while the music festival featured 130 bands. Up to 10,000 punters attended the free, all-ages stages at the Brunswick St Mall and Goolwal Garden (Sound Garden) daily.
