WALA - Is Life celebrating 25 years of performing in Australia, Africa, Europe and New Zealand. Shared their Ga-Dangme cultural history, stories, music and traditional dances gracing professional stages, festivals, venues, cultural institutions and schools.
WALA will bring to the stage a powerful performance of 10 Ghanaian drums, rarely seen or played in Australia. Their music, songs, and dances are a homage to their ancestors and cultural history, depicting the life and soul of their culture. Their music is a combination of traditional songs and rhythms fused with their own original arrangements, and highly energetic dancing. Their music repertoire will cover ancestral traditional music, Folk Palm Wine and Highlife songs.
