Japan’s finest garage punk export THE FADEAWAYS are celebrating their 20th anniversary the only way they know how — by hitting the road hard and fast! This November, the Tokyo-based trio return to Australia for four high-voltage shows over just three days, before making their first-ever visit to New Zealand.
Formed in 2005 and still blasting full-throttle today, The Fadeaways have built a global cult following for their explosive live shows, fuzz-drenched records, and matching 60s Europop-inspired outfits. Their onstage antics are the stuff of legend: frontman Toyozo jumping on the bass drum mid-song, drummer Ozzy doing handstands on his kit, and guitarist Assman slamming beers mid-solo without missing a beat.
With past tours across the US, UK, and Europe — and releases on iconic garage punk labels like Screaming Apple, Deadbeat Records, Secret Mission, and Dirty Water — The Fadeaways are true torchbearers of Japanese garage rock.
