What?

Boroky is an experimental pop project blending poetic truth, lo-fi high-narrative videos, baroque compositional techniques, and wild performances. Drawing from psychology, philosophy, and childhood play, Boroky’s music is aimed stoutly at redemption. With a voice like Jeff Buckley for the internet age, and a mind trained in both music and science, Boroky offers serious play, intense honesty, and emotional transformation. He performs in a trio with Ash Stoneham and Dave Quinn.  Join them for a night of musical spontaneity and splendour to move the body and soul.

Boroky started writing songs in high school with an experimental metal band, then became infatuated with jazz, then completed his BMus at Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Over the last decade he wrote, performed and recorded two albums of original folk music, participated in much contemporary dance, then discovered pop and electronic music and began honing his unique experimental pop sound through another two albums. All the while, he was participating in improvised creative music, studying deep things and developing his philosophy.  He brings all this history to bear in his forthcoming album Rat Park.

Boroky has been a source of confusion and positive emotional transformation in Sydney for several years now and has no intention of desisting.
