Formed while still in junior high through the Gympie High Music program, this dynamic four-piece has grown into one of Southeast Queensland’s most exciting young acts—equal parts raw energy, heartfelt songwriting, and authentic connection.Fronted by Louie’s soaring vocals and emotive guitar work, the Hive’s sound is textured and vibrant, layered with Lizzy’s infectious basslines, Korbin’s genre-bending guitar to saxophone finesse, and Nat’s joyous rhythm behind the drums. Their chemistry onstage is electric—offstage, they’re the best of friends, radiating warmth and harmony that venues and fans alike have come to love. Each member is a prolific songwriter, and their upcoming debut EP is eagerly anticipated. Years of gigging across the region have seen them road-test a growing catalogue of original songs—crafted with, heart, and a bold sense of identity. Most recently, Hugo And The Hive opened for international touring legends Full Flower Moon Band, cementing their reputation as a band to watch. With a fearless DIY spirit and a deep passion for live music, this indie quartet has laid strong foundations in the Australian music scene—one unforgettable show at a time.JEMZEL:Jemzel is a Filipino/Australian alternative artist and producer making music in a bedroom.

She creates her music with the use of transparent songwriting based on personal experiences, thoughts and emotions that resonate with a wide audience. Jemzel then fuses her lyrics with a plethora of sonic influences - from rock to folk to soul - to create her unique sound.

Growing up in an environment and culture filled with music, Jemzel’s love for singing and playing instruments came to life early in her childhood. At age 11, she started using the internet to start teaching herself music production and audio engineering.

In early 2023, Jemzel released her bedroom pop track ‘Tell Nobody’. The track quickly gained attention on social media, and has now amassed 700,000 listens and counting on Spotify alone.

Her evident versatility across genres, resonant pen game, and recognised talent has made Jemzel a force to be reckoned with.
