Last night while watching another David Attenborough documentary, some friends and I wondered if there could be anyone who could take the mantle once the great man hangs up his environmental boots. And while we all agreed he was irreplacable, we also decided there was one option and one option only to take the reigns of helping the human world remain in touch with mother earth - Leonardo DiCaprio. Much like Attenborugh, the dude is fiercely passionate about the environment, in particular how badly we are fucking the planet through global warming.
Sure David Attenborough's dulcet tones and thirst for finding the weird and wonderul in nature can't be beat, but I sure wouldn't mind if Leonardo DiCaprio decided to spend his post-acting career traversing the globe, reminding us how incredible planet earth truly is, and more importantly, that we need to stop destroying it.
And Before The Flood is a good first step into accepting Leo as the heir apparent to Father Nature's throne.
