Cameras are one of those bands you've heard of, but haven't had a good enough listen to make a judgement. Well, we're telling you now: have a listen, because you're gonna love 'em. They channel sounds from The National and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to entrance the listener with the invariable hooks and ethereal instrumentation.
Cameras have had many successes since their 2008 inception; their track 'Defeatist' was added to the soundtrack for US hit show 'The City', they supported Roxy Music on their Australian tour, not to mention their abundance of Australian festival appearances and their well earned airplay on Australian channels.
Now, Cameras are releasing their full length album, lovingly tendered over for the past year or so. 'In Your Room' retains the beautiful sounds they were noticed for initially, while adding an alt-rock vibe that will surely throw them into the limelight.
We reviewed their Sydney Album Launch, and now it's Melbourne's turn.
