WAAX's Holy Sick EP tour kicks off this Friday..
2015 has been the year WAAX really established themselves on the Australian rock scene. After a few lineup changes over the years, this year they've settled down into an arse-kicking groove, led out the front by not-to-be-fucked-with frontwoman Marie DeVita and backed with a swag of punkish rock'n'roll tunes that you can get a recorded dose of on their new EP, Holy Sick:
Soon you'll also get a solid dose of it in live form when they head on tour, kicking off at The Workers Club in Melbourne this Friday. And you can check out the rest of the dates once you have a gander over the below interview, which DeVita has most awesomely answered for us with (mostly) drawn pictures. Much funner than words, of which I've already written too many, so I'll shutup:
"I drew whatever came out when I think of our music."
"Everything's blurry because I don't really keep still very well."
"Can't eat. Need beer."
"I have a mini asthma attack every time."
"The guys in the band aren't very superstitious, but I get scared when I'm alone in the rehearsal space because I think it's haunted."
"You see the back of Konsti's head a lot."
"I'd say I'm an airhorn and I'd like to be played by Patti Smith."
