Waking up one morning and realising that things were better before.
Is this track from a forthcoming/existing release?
Yes, from album number two, which will be out in August.
How long did it take to write/record?
It took a couple of hours to write, but about a year to rehearse, record and mix properly.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making?
We used to play it slow, but one day one of our ex-members suggested we play it “as fast as we can,” which inspired us to kick it up a notch, and it really came to life.
What's your favourite part of the song?
The opening lines of vocals. We rewrote the melody parts and re-recorded them over the instrumental mix of the song and jammed it all back together. It became a proper duet at that point.
Do you play it differently live?
Yes – faster, with tons of mistakes.
Will you be launching it?
Friday 27 April 27 at Oxford Art Factory and Saturday 28 in Canberra at The Phoenix Pub.
