Wavves ProfileV is shaping up to be Wavves's most 'pop' album with heavy riffs, catchy hooks and just enough sing-along moments that it doesn't become painful to hear after five listens. Way Too Much is characteristic of that; it still has the rough licks with a dash of paranoid lyrics to reflect the Wavves of old but instead of diving into the pysch pool Wavves have stepped it up with a cleaner and arguably more mature sound. However, they're not donning the button-ups just yet as their clip for Way Too Much is reflective of Nathan Williams's (lead singer) passion for wrestling. Indeed it's like going back to watch the Undertaker steel chair someone in WWE all those years ago but instead of enduring the shock of being told WWE isn't real Underground Wrestling Empire, where this video was shot, seems to be legit. Way Too Much is off Wavves's upcoming album V which drops in Australia October 2.
