Harlem’s ASAP ROCKY is fast becoming one of the States' most impressive MCs, and this week, he dropped the video clip for single ‘Brand New Guy’.
Taken from the mixtape ‘LIVELONGA$AP’, ‘Brand New Guy’ pits Rocky’s smooth flow against Black Hippy’s SCHOOLBOY Q’s frantic rap braggadocio. Though vastly differing in style, with A$AP Rocky's beat-riding contrasting sharply against ScHoolboy Q's ferocious spitting, they complement each other. Put simply, it’s everything you would expect from an A$AP Rocky and ScHoolboy Q collaboration.
Shot in LA, city landscapes, ominous crew shots, and general swagging out with Bathing Ape and grills make up the clip, with both rapping upside down at one point. Another gem from one of hip hop’s new breed.
