WAM Festival Artist Profile: Salary

Answered by: Sean Gorman, Auto-Tune.

Short description of your band and music: Formerly Celery, Salary is a solo side project and cultish nine-piece band all at once, featuring Louis Inglis, Jeff Strong, Cameron Hanush, Rachel Hocking, Jason Snook, Harvey Rae, Alan Holbrook, Mel Hall and Sean Gorman.

Best WAM-related story? The future is unwritten - our WAM debut is arriving soon.

What do you think separates the WA music scene apart from the rest of the country? We are all God's creatures.

What WA bands are you vibing on right and why? Jeff's Dead, Louis Inglis, Shit Narnia, Racoo Charles With The Moke Folk, Peter Bibby and Fluttering Blue Tarpaulin are all rad.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAM? Because we are in it for the gusto.

What's on the horizon for you? A series of double A-side vinyl singles - one side cult band and one side solo narcissism. First one coming early next year.

WAM Festival performance: Sunday 8 Nov, Newport Hotel.
