Short description of your band and music: Perth's own hip shakers, bound to make you break out in a 'cold sweat' are Randa And The Soul Kingdom. Having supported Lionel Richie, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, The Bamboos, toured UK, Europe and Australia, this six piece will put the funk in your trunk! Be prepared to get snowed sideways by soulful horns, high-octane vocals and gritty rhythm packed with a punch that will hit you with feel-good groove!
What do you think separates the WA music scene apart from the rest of the country? Our isolation! There's something in the water over here!
What WA bands are you vibing on right and why? Mathas, Kucka
Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAM? I guess our music reflects that old school funk and soul sound that is gritty, nasty, and at times in the gutter, making you wanna get down to it! It's where the source of R&B that you hear today came from.
What's on the horizon for you? Next week, Clancy's Fish Pub Dunsborough; next year, Spain! And another album release.
