"This is my first WAM festival! I haven't really been doing this long enough to have a WAM-related story. Hopefully I'll have lots after this one though!"

Act: Bri Clark

Member/Role:  Singer/songwriter/awkward-banter-representative/manager

Short description of your band and music: My band at the moment consists of Rob Di Giallonardo on guitar, Pete "Floyd" Robinson on bass, Zack  Visser on drums, and my little brother Reece on sax/keys. When he's playing the sax, I play the keys. My music is a mix of dreamy, reverb and delay heavy, electric guitar, interwoven with some deep lyrics and penetrative melodies, with a really slick beat and rhythm section. I guess it's keys based because that's what I write the songs on, and some sultry, sax tones. We'll be doing a stripped down version of songs at The Moon for WAMfest though.

Best WAM-related story? This is my first WAM festival! I haven't really been doing this long enough to have a WAM-related story. Hopefully I'll have lots after this one though!

What do you think separates the WA music scene apart from the rest of the country?  It's wonderfully diverse, and the camaraderie between bands is really special.

What WA bands are you vibing on right and whyLoving Oakland right now, also I just went to Eloise Ashton's EP launch and she takes my breath away. Joni In The Moon breaks me. There are too many good things happening!

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAM I like to talk about where the songs I write come from, most of the time the songs come from situations where I get myself into some seriously funny/awkward/shameful scenarios, so you'll end up listening to some music and feeling much better about yourself at the same time. Also my guitarist is extraordinarily cool, and I'll bake my world famous cookies, so if you get there before Rob eats them all, you'll have a guaranteed good time, unless you're a celiac, you're lactose intolerant, or you're allergic to nuts...

What's on the horizon for you?  My first ever music video will be released late November for the single I released on 26th of October, after we play the Beaufort St Festival and the Vision Studios Re-Opening Party!! Then it's back in the studio to record some more songs and then I'm heading over east in March-ish to do some touring and writing with new and fun people. Playing some festivals and releasing another song early next year too. Lots to do.

WAM Festival performance: Saturday Spectacular, The Moon, 4.10pm
