‘Let's Just F**king Throw Everything We Can At It’: Luca Brasi Reflect On A Decade Of ‘If This Is All We’re Going To Be’

Visual Art Focus: Conrad Square

Describe your art style/practice in four words: Bright, bold, flat, intriguing.

What mediums do you mainly work in and why? When working on the street I used a low-pressure, matte spray paint called MTN. It has a consistent body and a colour range like no other. The low-pressure helps me be more creative and technical with my work.

What made you want to pursue art? I studied fine art when I was in high school and was always interested in creativity. When I was first introduced to graffiti and street art it blew my mind. It was big, fast, bold and complemented it surroundings.

What is currently inspiring your work? Since day one I have always drawn inspiration from anime and Japanese culture. I travel there as much as possible as it's a completely different world from the one I wake up to every day, it's nuts!

Who is your favourite artist and why? For past reference, Pablo Picasso. For future reference, Sofles. Both geniuses of their time and craft.
