"Conceptually we knew we wanted to capture a tongue-in-cheek retro karaoke-style video."
Gold Coast indie rockers The Vultures are today revealing their new single Conversations, premiering via The Music.
Made up of lifelong collaborators Liam Bowditch and Joe Bon MacPhail, the duo has once again combined to create an infectious disco-rock crossover number, inspired by nostalgic '80s pop wrapped in blistering modern synths and heavy riffs.
In addition to the single, the band have complimented the track with a fully encompassing video clip, extending the narrative of the single.
It features a psychedelic dreamscape packed with trippy visuals, perfectly reflecting the vibe of the music.
"Conversations was written in Melbourne during the 2020 lockdowns. The initial idea arrived when jamming with an acoustic guitar sparking the melody and lyrical concepts," the duo said of the release.
"Over that period the track kept evolving over many voice memos before letting it simmer for a while until we started production in September 2021.

"We produced the music video for Conversations, as well as the previous music videos for Every Night and If You Only Knew Your Way, which has been integral to our creative vision for the visuals as we’ve spent the last two years self-producing the upcoming album Escobar.
"Conceptually we knew we wanted to capture a tongue-in-cheek retro karaoke-style video with surreal visuals mirroring the vibe and lyrical concepts.
"We set up a DIY green-screen in our factory space one evening, turned the camera, and let it roll."
