"I feel this video represents the little bit of narcissism in everyone."
The Daily Chase are today unveiling their new single and music video, Lotusland, premiering exclusively via The Music.
Lotusland is the first taste of their The Colour Of Crisis EP, set for release on April 8.
The single teases a sound influenced by drum and bass and metal foundations and thematically presents a narcissistic character that is entirely absorbed into his own world.
"The character that exists within Lotusland is living in a world where he is the king and everything revolves around him," explained the band.
The accompanying music video was shot, directed and edited by The Daily Chase resident videographer Ben Heidrich with visual FX by Rahj Jordan, both of Headstrong Films, and reflects the tracks lyrical messaging.
"The concept and storyline changed several times for the video," said Heidrich.

"I wanted something that represented what the song is about but not directly, so we settled on a spin-off storyline while touching on the same subject - the metaverse and the way technology is developing is pushing humanity in a dangerous direction.
"Everybody wants to be somebody else, they build this fake version of themselves in the digital world because of what they see online. I feel this video represents the little bit of narcissism in everyone."
You can watch the video exclusively above before its release on February 3.
