VIDEO PREMIERE: Sonori - 'Time'

'We felt we could re-imagine it in our own way.'

Blue Mountains experimental quartet Sonori have a treat for your Friday in the form of their lush cover of Hans Zimmer’s Time.

Zimmer’s expansive tune from the Inception soundtrack gets the full electro treatment, with the band layering drum loops and synths on top of classical strings and piano.

"Our decision to cover Time was really important for us. It was right at the inception of the band and felt that it was the perfect launch pad for what we imagined our sound could be," guitarist Andre Matkovic said.

“The long repetitive chord progression lent itself to the live looping aspect of the band. Building the cello ensemble part using loops, the piano and guitars - we felt we could re-imagine it in our own way.”

The cover follows on from the outfit’s 2017 self-titled EP.
