Channelling Britpop and garage rock, the new single from Melbourne artist Sev Lah, Caught On The Outside, captures the essence of what his forthcoming debut album is all about.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions halting Lah’s original music video plans for the track, he was adamant the single be released alongside a visual element that elevated it.
“I contacted my friend Javier de Luna, and we came up with some ideas and felt that animation would be the right way to go,” Lah told The Music.
“Caught On The Outside, for me, captures and is inspired by the best parts of the mid-'90s Britpop movement. I have always been able to write songs with catchy hooks but the focus for this track was to capture the energy of Britpop at its finest.”
