"It was insane but we had an amazing crew who looked after us and were total troopers."
Sydney alt-rock trio Second Idol today release a striking new clip for their latest single, White Noise.
Premiering via The Music, the music video was directed by Olivia Costa and shot in an abandoned warehouse studio.
The clip “follows two men wrestling, fighting and dancing, exploring the tracks’ central themes of conflict between femininity and masculinity”.
“We filmed this clip in 40-degree heat, which is incredibly ironic given what we’re wearing,” vocalist Kate Olivia said.
“It used to be an old car factory and this one room we filmed in felt a bit like an abattoir. It was insane but we had an amazing crew who looked after us and were total troopers.

“In between takes we were running to stick our faces in front of fans and portable air conditioning units.”
Second Idol will launch White Noise at Queer As Fvck Mardi Gras in Sydney on March 6.
