Kisschasy’s Darren Cordeux Finds His Way Home On ‘The Terrors Of Comfort’

VIDEO PREMIERE: RIVAH - 'Cheerleader'

Brisbane's RIVAH is already making waves in the music world with her uninhibited brand of shiny pop magic. She is back today with a debut video for single Cheerleader, premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au.

The song itself is an ode to love in all forms with RIVAH saying she "wanted to write a love song that wasn’t about romantic love".

"I guess I’m singing what I want to hear said to me,” she mused.

The video was shot at a beach shack in northern NSW in which RIVAH wrote the song and is home of the Bundjalung people, the traditional custodians of the land.

While she was living there RIVAH says she “became good friends with a young local guy named Jarulah".

"I would teach him about singing and writing and he would teach me about the land," she said.

"I love his family like my own and feature both him and his beautiful girlfriend, Nikeah in the clip.”

RIVAH was just announced as part of the tastemaker event at BIGSOUND 2018. You can catch her showcase on 4 September on the Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage.
