Emergent Melbourne outfit Pregnancy — a throwback dance-pop project conceived by The Ocean Party's Zac Denton, with members of Totally Mild, Ciggie Witch and more — have released their hypnotic video for new single Hard As Nails, taken from their upcoming debut album, Urgency.
Hard As Nails is the second single to be featured from the record, coming in the wake of the recently launched First Kiss, which was first unveiled back in 2016.
The clip is a stark contrast to the name of the full-length from which the song comes, taking a slow-burning, minimalist tack to reflect the "doggedly focused" approach of Denton's grandmother, "a woman of the land and the central character of the song".
It features a statuesque Denton and co-vocalist Ashley Bundang (of Totally Mild) performing the song, illuminated by a projection of a time-lapse sunrise filmed at Denton's grandmother's property in Tarcutta, NSW.
