“It’s like I’m having a conversation with myself and my very confident and goofy alter ego that is reminding me of just how great I really am."

More P-Unique More P-Unique

Melbourne-based emcee P-UniQue is quickly making an impact with her bold raps over heavy beats. She is back today to premiere a brand new clip for track Effort on theMusic.com.au, and with news that her debut EP, Bring Black Back, will be out at the end of the month.

The video itself was directed by Justin Macawili with editing by Vanessa Valenzuela and has us grooving along as P-UniQue spits truths in an honest dialogue with herself.

“It’s like I’m having a conversation with myself and my very confident and goofy alter ego that is reminding me of just how great I really am,” she said of the track.

The EP too is a celebration of "our beautiful cultures and everything that we are".

“With all the negatives and generalisations in the world around different communities, cultures and relationships, Bring Black Back takes away all the negatives and celebrates their uniqueness. It serves as a reminder that we can achieve whatever we want," she explained.

P-UniQue has upcoming shows at Melbourne Music Week and Strawberry Fields. Scroll down to theGuide for all the details.
