"It’s about that disheartening feeling when somebody just can’t see your point of view on things."
Brand new music from Perth dream-poppers The Money War has just dropped, with the duo premiering the video for their latest track Miles Away exclusively with The Music.
The duo of Dylan and Carmen Ollivierre said that the video and song were inspired by the literal and figurative feelings respectively of being far off from the people you care about.
"Miles Away is about being disconnected from somebody that you love - in more of an emotional way than the literal sense," Carmen explained.
"It’s about that disheartening feeling when somebody just can’t see your point of view on things.
"Our friend Hugo Lee played the saxophone and I love the emotion it brings to the song. Sax tends to get a bad reputation but it can sound really beautiful and I think it’s perfect for the feeling we were going for.
"We wanted the music video to play on the metaphor of two people being physically miles away from each other so we filmed it in two different locations, one in the suburbs and one in the countryside."
