Mitch KingRecently joining Michael Gudinski's newest label, Reclusive Records, Gold Coast songwriter Mitch King today unveils the clip for his track Oil & Water, premiering via The Music.
Released last month to celebrate the signing news, Oil & Water was co-written with Mark Lizotte (aka Diesel), with King noting that, “as much as you like to be with someone, sometimes the differences between two people are so vast, you realise you are like oil and water.”
"Filming Oil & Water was lots of fun. I made some really good mates on the set who made me feel very welcome and comfortable so in turn I paid them with scratches and cuddles," King told The Music.
"Unfortunately, humans were out of the budget on this one. Seriously though, filming with Madeleine Purdy and her team was a whole bunch of fun and good times were had on the day!!!! Thanks to all creatures big and small xx."
Upon signing King last month, Gudinski said: “I have always been fascinated with the one-man band concept. After seeing Mitch perform live, I knew there was something unique and special about him.
"The fact that Mitch’s song Coming Back was used and embraced by the NFL team, the Green Bay Packers, was a true testament to his song writing and I was surprised that he wasn’t already signed after that!”
King is expected to release an EP later this year.
