“I hope that 'Stronger' can remind you to be stronger than whatever it is that hurt you.”

Lucy Korts’ latest single, Stronger, has been out for about two weeks now, blessing our ears in late January. And today, in an exclusive from The Music, we have the accompanying music video for you right now.

The Brisbane indie-pop artist spends her music video - directed and edited by Cat Sorensen - amongst nature, frolicking through streams, fields, and forests - a very intentional move, designed to compliment the lyrics of Stronger.

She connects with the natural world around her, stepping through autumn leaves barefoot, bathing in flowing brooks, and climbing mountains to admire the world below, while she moves in hypnotic, fluid motions. The video is a beautiful show of her feminine energy intertwining with the natural world as she reconnects with mother nature and with herself.

“I poured my heart into creating a visual for Stronger,” Korts tells us. “I hope that everybody who experiences it takes the story of the video with them - which is this: Even if you’re at the bottom, at your lowest or bellow the water, you can always find a way back to the top of the mountain again. I filmed this music video with Cat Sorensen and it was a brilliant, yet challenging filming experience. We laughed, cried, got frustrated, laughed some more and overall, made a video that I’m so incredibly proud of. We hope that you can keep the visual story of Stronger in your heart, for when you’re maybe feeling a little not-so-strong.”

The track itself is all about reconnecting and reclaiming your own power, a fierce and unapologetic pop anthem for anybody that has fought a silent battle. It's an energetic and powerhouse track designed to pick you up inside of your struggles and carry you through.

“I hope that Stronger can give you the same strength that I found writing it,” Korts explained. “I hope that it can pick you up when you don't know how to get up. And I hope that it can help to push you forward when you don't know which way forward is. I hope that Stronger can remind you to be stronger than whatever it is that hurt you.

“I wrote this song because I needed a bit of an anthem at the time to feel stronger, and my hope is that it can be that for all of you guys. And I hope that if you are going through something, this song can help you feel a little bit better and lift you out of wherever you are.”
