"We try to inject our brand of chaos, fun and energy into everything we create."
Lucid Hoops have unveiled the visual for their most recent single, I Feel Used, premiering today via The Music.
The track is dark and addictive, marked by gritty guitars, striking vocals and harsh drums, creating a captivating alt-rock gem.
The new video reflects the sentiment of the track and the band perfectly and was directed by Michael Odewahn-Oxley at Studio Manly.
"We try to inject our brand of chaos, fun and energy into everything we create so we thought what better way than paying homage to the Australian music show “Recovery” which aired on ABC from 1996-2000," the band stated on the inspiration behind the video.
"It was such a great fit because we’re all nineties kids that love and idolise so many of the artists that were featured on the show, so much of what we do has been inspired by the alternative music of that era.
"We’re known for the energy in our music and live shows and we feel that we mirror the vibe that Recovery had. The show was chaotic, intense and had this incredible fearlessness that no live program in Australia had never seen before.

"The presenters and cast weren’t afraid to embarrass themselves or look silly, it was raw and had this real punk and DIY vibe to it which we felt suited who we are as a band."
