The debut album from Perth singer-songwriter Karin Page promises big things, as evident via new single Box, featuring Ash Grunwald, and its accompanying new music video.
Blending blues, roots and country, Page makes a statement about where she fits in the music scene, suggesting that forthcoming debut album Walk Away may take a few exciting and unexpected turns.
“The concept behind this video was to showcase all the different styles and sounds that influence my songwriting,” Page told The Music.
“Over the last few years, I have been labelled a country artist, but I truly believe that country music today is a collection of all of the genres showcased in this video.
“My message throughout the clip is that no one should be made to feel as though they have to ‘fit into one box’ and as long as you are being true to yourself that’s all that matters.”
The new clip was filmed at Sydney’s Sherbert Birdie Studios and was directed by Aislinn Lowe.
