“I mumbled my way through writing this song on the top bunk of a hostel bed. This was in Valparaiso in Chile, way back in 2016."
Infinity Broke have today revealed their latest music video for single From The Belly Of A Whale, premiering via The Music.
The clip celebrates the release of their new album, Your Dream My Jail, and is released ahead of their multi-state tour.
The album acts as an exploration of rhythm, melody and dissonance for Jamie Hutchings, making for a record that can best be described as a turbulent and fascinating ride.
On the creation of From The Belly Of A Whale, Hutchings stated: “I mumbled my way through writing this song on the top bunk of a hostel bed. This was in Valparaiso in Chile, way back in 2016.
"A phantasmagorical city, and an appropriate place to birth it I think. The song is set in the desert; it’s a shadowy rumination on being held hostage by a reoccurring dream. It has a trance-inducing CAN-like rhythm; nailed to the floor by Scott and Jonas.
"We were a little conflicted about how to approach the video but our old friend Mark Moldre did a remarkable job of capturing the song's desert-noir ambience.”
