“'The Policy' video is about breaking free from societal norms and expectations."
The title track from Glitoris' debut album tackles an important issue, something its accompanying music video captures well.
The punk rockers teamed up with Martin Ollman and shot the clip in one day at an abandoned Yarralumla Brickworks in Canberra.
“The video captures everything The Policy is about: women and minorities having to work much, much harder just to be perceived as competent relative to their male peers,” Glitoris told The Music.
“The Policy video is about breaking free from societal norms and expectations and working hard to achieve what you want in life.
“We included snapshots of some of some amazing female leaders for inspiration!”
The current leg of the band’s album tour will wrap tomorrow night at The Basement in Canberra with more dates expected to be announced soon.
