“We just wanted to have as much fun making the video as possible."
Indie-pop band Dande & The Lion are today unveiling a music video to their latest single, Cheap Choice, premiering via The Music.
The track reflects the difficulties of leaving and moving between relationships, despite identifying the red flags in other people.
Accompanying the single is an attention-grabbing music video, filmed across Paddington and Collaroy beach in Sydney.
Produced by the videography team Ah. Yes. Good. (Georgina Symes, Director; Saz Watson, Assistant Director and Producer), the film follows singer Natassa Zoë experiencing euphoria as she breaks free from her job and heads to the beach, influencing a range of characters in the process.
"We just wanted to have as much fun making the video as possible," Zoë said.
"We wrote the script during lockdown so during that process there really was no limit to contain our ideas and we just wanted to see how far we could go with the ridiculousness of it.

"The video represents the song from a more conceptual perspective, rather than a literal one, yet still maintaining the core message of feeling taken advantage of, finding empowerment and then how great things can come from difficult moments in one’s life, even if we are unable to perceive the positives at the time.”
