More Crosstown Killers More Crosstown Killers

Crosstown KillersIOU clip is a psychedelic DIY trip.

Premiering today via The Music, the new music video from the Central Coast outfit was directed and edited by band member Ben Pokrajac.

“Film and music are my two biggest passions, so I’m fortunate enough to be able to explore both those avenues working in Crosstown Killers,” Pokrajac told The Music.

“Kane has a very clear vision of how he likes the music videos to look, we both share a passion for film so it’s easy to be able to communicate certain techniques and looks to one another so we both have an understanding of what we want achieve visually.

“Usually we pick a bunch of band music clips we like as a reference and work from there, he asks ‘Can we do this shot?’ Or ‘Make it look like this? Or do this lighting’ and most of the time we can make it work.

“We shot this at Chris (bass players) basement. Kane wanted a psychedelic look with trippy visuals behind us, so we basically put a green sheet up in the shed, set up the band in front of it and went for it! And in post I just added the weirdest shit I could find for the backdrop.

“We basically shot the whole thing for zero dollars and it works in our favour because we are going after that cheap look that reflects all those old psychedelic music videos from the ‘60s/’70s."

IOU is taken from Crosstown Killers’ forthcoming EP, set for release in late 2020.
