The Blue Mountain songwriter's latest track was inspired by her proposal to partner and co-writer Blake Dantier.
"It brought about a whole lot of ’that’s not traditional’ talk and I realised early on that I wasn’t going to be a typical bride," Hopetoun told The Music.
"The song went through a few different changes during the writing process - fun fact, even a different name! Matt Fell also waved his magic wand on the track when producing it and (as always) blew me away with the final product."
The music video initially was envisioned to take place on a wedding set, however the COVID pandemic changed those plans.
"We twisted things around to take a more stylistic approach and had myself as the only actor," she said.
"It’s a little bit of pressure when you’re the only actor in a video, as it’s all up to you to bring the energy and storyline to life.
"It was so much fun though (and a creative challenge!), experimenting with slightly different versions of myself for each character.”
