Brissy indie-rockers Calais have been laying low for a little while as they wrote new tunes, and they're finally sharing what they've been working on of late with new single and video Seeing It All, proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today.

The infectious, synth-heavy tune wears its personal origins on its sleeve, with frontman Tim Lollback describing it as being about "investing so much of yourself into a relationship with another person that the whole concept of 'I' became 'us'".

"It's about the moment when the relationship breaks down and you can no longer identify yourself, but have to learn to be alone," he said in a statement.

"The song is about not being able to escape our memories and being confronted by the weight of our loss."

Calais previously released their most recent EP, Silhouettes, back in 2015, earning international attention and radio play. The band are all set to take their career to new heights with their fresh material, and will launch Seeing It All at a special show at The Foundry next Thursday, 27 April, with support from Trails and Dosed.
