VIDEO PREMIERE: Blyolk - Artshole

We hope you're ready to feel downright uncomfortable in the best kind of way, because up-and-coming Melbourne weird-pop purveyor blyolk (aka Sebastian Chesney) has unveiled brand new video clip Artshole and, look, it will fuck you up a bit.

It's not just the cacophonous, unsettling intro — although, yes, that'll hit you square in the earholes — nor the shifting, not-quite-natural colour spectrums and deliberately jagged editing, courtesy of director Jac Meddings.

No, it's the repeated shots of tomato sauce being positively blasted onto iced hundreds-and-thousands biscuits and the vivid red noodles and the pickle-and-egg tea and other messed-up culinary creations on display throughout that will freeze your face in abject horror.

But get past it, you must, because playing over it all is a super-addictive, off-kilter and deeply enjoyable anti-poser anthem from a truly exciting young talent who is clearly blessed with imagination and magnetism in spades.

Blyolk knocked over a run of single-launch shows in Brisbane and Melbourne last month, so if you missed him in action (with his live helpers) at those gigs, be sure to send him some love on Facebook to keep on top of when he next steps out for a performance — and, if this clip is anything to go by, you can pretty much guarantee that it will be a performance in the truest sense of the word.

Keep your eyes transfixed on this one; you won't want to miss whatever comes next.
