PREMIERE: Augie March Master DIY With Trippy 'Bootikins' Video

More Augie March More Augie March

Just in case you weren’t already pumped for the new album from Augie March, the acclaimed indie pop-rockers have dished up a music video for title track Bootikins.

The latest glimpse into what to expect sees them hard at work in the studio and is the result of another planned video project falling through last-minute.

It’s the result of DSLR, iPhone, iPad and “ancient pc webcams” gaffa taped around the studio where the song – and most of the album - was recorded.

Glenn Richards pieced all the footage together and said of the song itself: “The dynamic needed to match the manic nature of the words, the furious utterances, and the bloody rush of thought that occurs in the mind of any man who has dispensed with the rational or the compassionate in favour of the diabolical.

“In that spirit I didn’t give contemplation much sway in the process and went largely with instinct.  It’s a very strange song for very strange times.”

Augie March will celebrate the release of their sixth studio album (due out on 23 February) with a special show at The Velvet Room, Thornbury Theatre in February.
