2018 is looking to be massive for Vans, with the brand today unveiling a versatile and innovative new skate apparel range designed to handle the wear and tear of intense skating.
The Versa Hoodie DX range sees a new look for Vans - a design that prioritises comfort and skateboard functionality without comprising style – and comes shortly after they unveiled their Makers Classics Collection.
The new range is also durable, and that means when you face-off with the pavement you won’t end up needing a new hoodie.
“Our pro skate team riders are the major catalyst for developing a hoodie that would perform at the highest level,” Vans director of global design for apparel and accessories, Colin O’Connor said.
“We focused on incorporating a durable fabric blend, comfort and functionality that would fit our riders needs both on and off the board.”

What makes the Versa Hoodie DX so resilient is Storm Cotton, which is a hydrophobic shield that repels water, and a durable fabric blend which helps protect the stylish new product when its wearer is getting knocked around.
“I like to be able to trust the durability of not only my shoes, but my clothes too,” Pro skater and Vans team rider Anthony Van Engelen said.
“The Versa Hoodie has become an everyday tool for me to achieve what I need to accomplish, just like my shoes and my board, and just as durable.”
There’s also a patent-pending hidden media pocket and secure phone storage section.
The Versa Hoodie DX will be available from January 20, and you can find more info via the Vans website.
