VAN SHE just dropped the title single off their latest album, Idea of Happiness, out July 6 through Modular Records. For all the VAN SHE fans out there who've been waiting patiently since V came out in 2008, the band have also announced a tour to tide you through until the full album release.
Idea of Happiness, the band claim, is their most focused, joyous musical excursion to date. The title track is an uplifting, catchy electropop piece, and if this is what the rest of the album is like - as we've been assured it is - then we expect many more good things to come. The band recorded, engineered and produced the album themselves in a Kings Cross studio, then took it to LA where it was mixed by Tony Hoffer, renowned for working with the likes of M83 and Phoenix.
For what is only their second album, VAN SHE have really put a lot of time and effort into Idea of Happiness - and we're looking forward to enjoying the fruits of their labour.
