C.O.F.F.I.N guitarist Abijah Rado provides his Top 5 90's films ahead of UnFun.

UnFun returns in 2015. Taking place in Sydney, the boutique festival again features a host of local artists, with the event stretched across two stages.

Taking a decisively 90’s theme, over the weeks leading up to the festival, will run a series of ‘Top 5′ features with respective bands on the bill. This week, C.O.F.F.I.N offer their top 5 90's films, provided by guitarist Abijah Rado.

Toy Story –

Don't miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter

Disney and Pixar came together on this to pioneer and create the first full length 3D computer animated feature. To this day, it still holds up as a great film and for being 20 years old now, the animation ain’t too shabby.

Cool Runnings –

If you got me drunk enough and had a spare 2 hours and 20 minutes I’m pretty sure I could quote the entire movie for you but to sum it up, 3 Olympic class sprinters from Jamaica and Jamaica’s best push kart driver Sanka Coffie form a bobsled team to go to Canada and compete in the Winter Olympics. I’ve seen this too many times but just talking about it I wanna watch it again.

Men in Black –

Back when Will Smith was cool and used to still rap theme songs to his movies and not give money to Xenu (or whatever he does now) came this gem. This one had it all. Giant cockroach aliens that wore Edgar suits and drank sugar water, talking pugs, noisy crickets, Rip Torn, Tommy Lee Jones and of course Will Smith.

Jurassic Park –

Newman! Fucking Newman! I don’t even care that he wasn’t playing Newman in this movie because he will always be Newman to me and he fucked up dinosaur theme parks for everyone. Oh yeah, Samuel L Jackson was in it too.

Pulp Fiction –

What a killer cast. Willis, Buscemi, Travolta, Tarantino, L. Jackson, Thurman, Walken, Keitel…. Shit. The first few times I ever saw this I was too wasted to comprehend what was going on but after re-watching it a few times soberer damn it is an awesome movie.

*Fun fact* I once went to a 21st as Jules Winnfield.
