TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT: The Smith Street Band

Spending all day on public transport to get to a show, sneaking in the side door of the Birmy and slipping past security at the Arthouse, was all well worth it as a 17 year old when it meant seeing Wil Wags play one of his notoriously drunken sets.

From the days when being in a crowd for his show meant being one of only a handful of people, to the sold out shows Wil Wagner and his band now play to is a testament to the talents of all involved. Since joining forces with his band members and becoming THE SMITH STREET BAND, these guys have been an unstoppable force on the music scene, not only in Australia but internationally.

2012 has seen THE SMITH STREET BAND tour across the USA and China, drumming up epic support and a loyal fan base along the way. This coming February and March will see the band touring for their ‘Young Drunks’ tour. Along with USA’s BOMB THE MUSIC INDUSTRY and Melbourne guys THE BENNIES, THE SMITH STREET BAND will be hitting up everywhere from Warrnambool to Byron Bay, no doubt adding in some infamous house shows along the way.
