Transcending a series of soundscapes, the third episode of RTRFM’s The View From Here sees Mei Saraswati Band take things to a new level.
In recent months we’ve seen Methyl Ethel and The Growl cram into the station's studios to dish out stripped-back renditions of their finest work, but with nine members, they had to bump things up for Mei Saraswati Band, moving the project to Yo Yo Studios.
Two drum kits, keys, a wealth of pedals and percussions all topped off with four-part harmonies made for a tantalising set, which included two tracks from their 2013 release, Hypermeditations.
Mei Saraswati Band play the inaugural Distant Murmurs festival at Rosemount Hotel on Saturday 17 January.
